Introduction to Supreme Release Yoga: 4 Weeks with Sonia, Sundays 6-7:15 pm, 9/18- 10/09
Experience yoga as a nectar: nourishing, revitalizing, revelatory.
This series is a foundational entrance into the practice of Supreme Release Yoga (SRY), and an introduction to it’s key principles and practices.
SRY is a yoga practice that gently reaches into, decompresses and nurtures the spine – the axis of physical health and the conduit of the spiritual journey. The result of SRY is body healing, life transformation and inner awakening. There is no workout, or performance.
Instead, we are making a sacred pilgrimage within to discover the Self of the self. In SRY, you find an approach rooted in authentic Vedic teachings and founded in the radical act of love as a means to truth. In a SRY practice you’ll find slow, intentional, and restorative poses that enable you to authentically soften and nutrify your body, mind and spirit.
We remember, “yoga teaches you to love yourself, starting with the body“
Along with In-Studio work, students will learn how to take this practice home with them, and bring SRY into their daily lives. Reg. $120, Studio Members $110 automatically deducted at checkout
Sonia is a yoga teacher, devotional guide, kirtan wallah, and student of Vedanta and Tantra. Her work is founded on the principle of self love and radical acceptance, as a pathway for discovering one’s innate wholeness. Her devoted study with her own teachers, and personal journey of healing have empowered and supported her in offering this work to you. Utilizing the wisdom of the Veda Tradition, Sonia’s programs and classes emphasize the beauty of deep nourishment- for the body, mind, and soul. She’s experienced first hand the transformation available when we are richly supported by the nectar of yoga’s wisdom. This life changing knowledge is shared to do just that- guide you in how to apply practices and teachings to enhance, enrich, and embolden your daily life. Whether joining her for kirtan, a SRY class, or devotional studies, Sonia is known for her illuminating storytelling and joy for teaching.

Sound has been used in meditations for many moons. As we are moving through interesting times, it is of high importance that we practice being centered and nurture inner peace. Sound meditations are a profound tool for that. By placing your attention on the sound instead of the chatter in the mind, it slows brain waves from beta to theta, signaling the body to relax, allowing you to feel safe so your body can recalibrate, instead of being prepared for fight or flight, creating space for inner peace.
